Disciple of Christ

A conversation came up this morning that reminded me of a Scripture (Matthew 10)I wanted to check out. It's meaning was brought into light when I realized who Jesus was speaking to. I had thought this was Jesus sending out the 12 disciples. But it says He summoned the 12 disciples and sent them out as apostles with a specific set of instructions.
